Know helicobacter pylori
Helicobacter pylori (Hp) is a spiral-shaped, slightly anaerobic, Gram-negative bacterium that needs very strict growth conditions. It has strong survival ability and is the only bacterium that can survive in the stomach for a long time. In 1994, it was listed as a Class I carcinogen of human gastric cancer by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the National Cancer Research Agency (IARC).
Helicobacter pylori (Hp) can be transmitted through oral, faecal-oral and iatrogenic transmission. When Helicobacter pylori infects the stomach, it causes an inflammatory reaction in the gastric mucosa, leading to gastritis. Long-term infection may also cause diseases such as stomach ulcers, duodenal ulcers and stomach cancer. Some people with H. pylori have no symptoms, but some people may experience indigestion, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite and other symptoms.
There are various ways to detect Helicobacter pylori, among which gastroscopy is the most important means for pathological examination. However, due to its invasive testing and high cost, patients' compliance is poor. Helicobacter pylori antigen rapid detection reagent as a preliminary screening method, easy to operate, no oral reagents, only need to collect stool samples, suitable for all people, including infants and patients with mental disorders.
Wizbiotech has developed its own test kit for Helicobacter pylori antigen (latex method), which is non-invasive, convenient, inexpensive and easy to implement. If you need to know more about our products, please contact us (click here to jump to see the company's contact information).
