WIZ's blockbuster product is certified!
Congratulations! WIZ's diagnostic Kit for Procalcitonin/Interleukin- 6 (Fluorescence Immunochromatographic Assay) has been approved by the Malaysian medical device regulator MDA!
Project introduction
The detection of procalcitonin (PCT) combined with interleukin-6 (IL-6) showed higher sensitivity and specificity in early warning of infection and diagnosis of severe pneumonia and sepsis. At the same time, the combined detection of PCT and IL-6 can improve the diagnostic efficiency of sepsis by making up the reaction time of each other, help to identify sepsis early, make the diagnosis and treatment more timely and accurate, so as to avoid the abuse of antibiotics and reduce the emergence of bacterial resistance.
In 2015, the National Health and Family Planning Commission clearly stipulated in the Quality Control Indicators of Hospital Infection Management that etiological detection indicators before antibiotic treatment should include serological tests of various microbial cultures, procalcitonin (PCT), interleukin-6 (IL-6) and other infection indicators. In 2021, the detection of two infectious serological indicators of procalcitonin (PCT) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) before the use of antibiotics continues to be included in the top 10 targets for the improvement of national medical quality and Safety in 2021. Therefore, the combined detection of procalcitonin (PCT) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) in clinical diagnosis and treatment has been paid more and more attention.
WIZ's procalcitonin/interleukin-6 assay kit (Fluorescence immunochromatography) has already been approved and tested in the domestic market, and this approval by the Malaysian market for export to the international market will be an important development. This means that China's medical technology and products have been recognized in the international market, and it is hoped that with the promotion and application of this product, more products can enter the international market and provide more advanced diagnosis and treatment programs for the medical systems of countries around the world.
