However, this kind of human social progress has brought a huge challenge -- population aging. At present, the proportion of the elderly population in the world is increasing rapidly. According to the World Social Report 2023 released by the United Nations on January 12th, the global population aged 65 and above is 761 million in 2021, and this number will increase to 1.6 billion by 2050. The population aged 80 and above is growing faster.

The World Malaria Day
25th of April each year is designated as the World Malaria Day, in purpose to highlight the need for malaria prevention and control. Malaria is an infectious disease caused by plasmodium and transmitted mainly by mosquitoes. Around 2.3 billion people (41% of the world's population) are threatened by malaria, and about 1 million children under the age of 5 die from malaria or complicated with other diseases.
