Introduction
Norovirus is a single-stranded RNA member of the calicivirus family [12]. It is the most common cause of epidemic diarrheal illness, accounting for over 90% of viral gastroenteritis outbreaks and approximately 50% of cases worldwide. Norovirus presents most commonly with abdominal cramps and nausea followed by vomiting and/or diarrhea.
