Normally people have three kinds of hemoglobin: HbA, HbF, HbA2, while adult red blood cells mainly contain HbA. HbA1c is glycosylated hemoglobin, formed by HbA in the metabolic process and glucose, so it can accurately reflect the glucose level in the blood. HbA1c is the product of the combination of hemoglobin and blood sugar in the red blood cells of the human blood. The combination of blood sugar and hemoglobin to produce HbA1c is an irreversible reaction, and is directly proportional to the blood sugar concentration, and remains for about 120 days, so the blood sugar concentration of 120 days before the day can be observed.
